Matey bubble bath has been my staple bath additive for as long as I can remember. It was only a few days ago I was enjoying a bath and stared at the new bottle (gratefully received in my Yule stocking) of Matey. It dawned on me I didn't quite get the same feeling about the bottle, the illustration (by
Howard McWilliam) has taken a modern twist and the shape of the bottle had changed. With that funning little character face staring at me I said to him "You've changed". And so it bloody has, I am not quite old enough to remember the cardboard packaging above, complete with scary words like "Hexachlorophene", but I do remember a distinctly different bottle than we have today.
